How it works

Four simple stages.

Enter or import your recovery phrase

The user starts a backup inside the Seeder application. The exact input, validation and supported phrase formats will be documented before launch.

Encrypt locally with AES-256-GCM

The recovery data is encrypted as part of the local application workflow. Key derivation and password requirements will be described after technical review.

Store encrypted recovery data on Sui

Encrypted recovery data is stored directly on the Sui blockchain. The web interface provides a GUI for managing stored seeds and keeping a clear record of associated wallets.

Decrypt when access is needed

Decryption is the reverse process. The encrypted seed is loaded from the blockchain into Seeder and decrypted locally. Seeder then displays the recovered seed directly on the device. The full decryption workflow is publicly documented and can also be performed with standard OpenSSL libraries, without requiring the Seeder device itself. This ensures users can still decrypt their blockchain-stored recovery data even if the dedicated hardware is unavailable.

This page deliberately avoids unverified claims such as “no cloud,” “recovery without Seeder,” or “no plaintext ever” until the complete technical architecture has been reviewed.
