The Seeder Android application performs the sensitive encryption and decryption operation locally on the phone. The encrypted package can then be transferred to the separate blockchain administration.

Enter your recovery seed and encryption password while the device is offline. Seeder creates the encrypted package locally.
Transfer only the encrypted package to Seeder blockchain administration for long-term storage.
Seeder uses standard cryptographic primitives. A compatible command-line implementation can decrypt a stored Seeder encrypted package without the Seeder Android application.
This is important for long-term recovery. With the encrypted package, the correct password and a compatible implementation of the Seeder package format, decryption can be performed from a computer command line using OpenSSL cryptographic APIs.
openssl version
openssl list -kdf-algorithms | grep -i argon2
OpenSSL 3.2 and newer provides the cryptographic building blocks required for an independent implementation of the Seeder format.
